The following are just some notes I took during the Ed Dale, Thirty Day Challenge Video Call on 30 July 2009 at 5:30 pm PDT.
This are not completed notes of his presentation, by any means, but does give some info on the what was covered. You can view the replay any time.
Replays should be available at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/thirty-day-challenge-tv.
Ed Dale led off the presentation (after some great intro rock music) to the 2903 people on the UStream.tv call. Plus there were 794 folks following it on FaceBook.
http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com is the main site to be aware of.
Ed did the first 30DC in 2005 and since then Internet marketing has evolved to a completely different landscape. Ed mentioned that to win in Internet Marketing in today’s world requires a team approach if you want to get ahead. The 2009 30DC thus emphasizes the use of teams to help ensure success.
Starting on Aug 1, for 31 days (even though it is called the 30DC for ease of discussion and marketing flair) there will be a series of lessons for everyone to follow – do them everyday. Some of the days are easy, some hard.
If you do these over the course of 30 days you will have set up the entire base of your business. For those of you that don’t have a clue of what business to build he will be providing assistance on how to decide on one.
A few of the key things to be looking at inside the 30DC Dashboard.
1. Check out the blog on a regular basis because he will be providing all updates and news on it.
2. The Training Section is the other. It may seem overwhelming when you first look at it. The training section contains videos on each of the tools that you need to master during the 30DC.
*****
For each lesson you can watch it on PC, mobile phones, download from iTunes as a PodCast or read a transcribed PDF transcript.
If you are looking for a team to join in with, go to the Forum and you should be able to find a group to tag on with.
The idea behind having a team is not for it to all work on one project, but that you use it as a support group and to bounce ideas off of.
The Forum has a lot of extra information and tips, especially from people that have been in the 30DC previous years.
There is also a MeetUp section in the Forum so you can find people physically close to you that you can get with for support and knowledge sharing.
AND – Make sure you read the Stickies in the Forum.
########
Also check out the FaceBook page – it is designed for people that live within FaceBook.
One thing neat in the Facbook app is the 30DC Checklist which is interactive.
You can also set up your teams in FaceBook and communicate with each other and share.
&&&&&&
One thing he emphasized about this year’s 30DC is that no technical knowledge is required. What usually kills everyone is they can’t stick with the program for 30 days.
It is tough for just about anyone to work on something consistently, on a dedicated bases for 30 days. So stick with it and you will be amazed at the changes in you and your knowledge.
