What Do i need to start a business in Vancouver WA?

My plan is to start business in selling salami and cooked and smoked meats and fish. If i obtain a building am i allowed to cook and smoke the food and bring it to the store to sell? and wat kind of licenses do i need to sell raw meats? I am a newbie at this so any answers or experience in WA with this would help….Thank you sooooooo Much.

You’ll need a business license and a permit from the county health department. You’ll personally need a food handlers card. If you open a place where people will consume the food, you’ll need an occupancy permit from the fire department. I would strongly recommend that you incorporate or operate as an LLC to limit your liability in case someone gets sick from your food. It will limit your personal liability.
